What is AP Biology?

AP Biology is a high school course that may act as a senior (or possibly junior) science credit. This course is an introductory college biology course. One will learn the basics of evolution, genetics, ecology and many more subjects. This class is composed of reading and labs that may be about population statistics. During these labs, one may collect and interpret data using mathematics and other methods. In order to take this class, one must complete high school biology and chemistry. When it comes time to take the AP Biology exam one should know that the exam is 3 hours long and consists of 77 questions. Students taking the exam are allowed a four function calculator and are provided with a formula sheet. Thanks for reading and enjoy your AP class!

What is an AP Class?

First of all AP stands for Advanced Placement, these are classes that one can take in high school. AP classes resemble a collage course. These courses allow high school students earn college credits. The only way that this course can count as a college credit is if the student passes the AP exam that is near the end of the school year.
